On 1 October each year, the Companies Registrar at the Jersey Financial Services Commission strikes off any companies in breach of obligations under the Companies (Jersey) Law 1991.
In practice, many of these companies have failed to file Annual Returns within the prescribed period, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes there is a breakdown in the relationship between shareholders, a problem with the administrator or a simple oversight.
In order to reinstate the company, an application to the Royal Court and the Companies Registrar is required. It is a fairly straightforward process and Pinel Advocates regularly advises on a fixed fee basis.
If your company has been struck off and you need assistance, please contact David Yetman to discuss the matter.
