LEGAL OPINIONS RELATING TO SCHEDULE 2 of the PRoceeds of crime (jersey) law 1999

Pinel Advocates is able to clear and accurate advice in relation to the need to register under Schedule 2 of the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999 (“Schedule 2”).

We have been advising a wide range of trust companies, clients and beneficial owners as to the scope of Schedule 2. We can typically do so on a fixed fee basis. Our typical fees are:

  • from £250 for an initial review opinion; and

  • from £1,500 for a full legal opinion.

Our experienced team has decades of corporate law and regulatory experience, including work within the Jersey Financial Services Commission, dealing with regulatory authorisations.

What we need to provide a fee proposal:

In order to provide an initial fee proposal for one or more structures, we would need:

  • A short summary of the structure.

  • Any thoughts you may have as to whether the structure falls ‘within Schedule 2’.

  • A structure chart (if you have one).

We will then advise as to whether we think that you need any further advice or support and if so, the proposed fee for that work.
