The Channel Islands Securities Exchange ("CISE") is a regulated securities listing facility for international companies to raise capital from investors based around the globe.  The CISE is headquartered in Guernsey and also has an office in Jersey.

Updating of listing rules

From 1 September 2016 the CISE are operating under updated listing rules, which had previously been dedicated just to investment funds.  Chapter 7 of the listing rules has now been expanded to encompass a wider variety of investment vehicles including open and closed ended funds but also Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and unregulated investment companies, along with the associated legal entities.

Revision of membership rules

The membership rules of the CISE have been revised with effect from 10 October 2016 enabling firms from a wider range of jurisdictions can act as sponsors to listings on the Exchange.  Previously sponsors were required to be entities established in the Channel Islands, but can now be from any jurisdiction deemed acceptable to the Exchange.

There are currently 40 members of the CISE, comprising banks, fund and trust administrators, law firms and stockbrokers.
