CONTACT ANDREW
We can help trust companies and their clients in a range of legal matters, for fixed fees, wherever possible. Here are some very common examples, with more details below:
Restructuring and regulatory advice for the trust company itself, including amalgamations and mergers;
Legal opinions for clients at £1,650;
Trust instruments from £795;
‘Schedule 2’ advice;
Applications for grants of probate from £695;
Trust and company precedent documents from £500 (or review of your own trust and company precedent documents);
Commercial lease reviews and advice;
any other corporate, regulatory or private client matter.
We are completely independent. Unlike almost all other law firms (try searching on the JFSC ‘Regulated Entities’ page), we don’t have a trust company and never will do.
We are looking to build long term relationships. That’s not just hot air; we set up the firm 14 years ago and Andrew Pinel, Partner, has at least 15 to go! So, we really do want to work with you for years to come, as opposed to looking for a quick profit.
Our decision-making is quick and in Jersey. On simple matters, such as legal opinions, we don’t make a fuss over academic problems. We look to get the job done quickly and properly.
Our overheads are lower than other, often bigger, law firm, so our fees are lower.
Our fee earners don’t have billing targets, so don’t have pressure to record time and bill.
We have significant experience of advising on a range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. We have lawyers who have joined us from the JFSC, as well as from larger Jersey and London law firms, bringing a wealth of experience.
